Alcantara watch straps
Alcantara is the soft, suede-like material you'll find lining the interiors of high-performance cars, supercars and luxury yachts. On a watch strap it feels just as good: velvety to the touch, very light, and comfortable from the moment you put it on. It pairs naturally with chronographs, racing-inspired watches and modern sports watches, but it's understated enough for everyday wear too.
What is Alcantara?
Alcantara is a premium microfibre material made in Italy. It looks and feels like fine suede but it's lighter, more consistent and easier to live with. It's more resistant to marks and fading, and it keeps its soft, even texture over time. It isn't leather, which makes it a good choice for anyone who wants a luxurious feel without an animal hide.
Our Alcantara colours
Black - sleek and sporty, the natural partner for a black-dial chronograph or a motorsport-inspired watch.
Grey - our best-selling Alcantara colour. It's versatile, modern and easy to pair with steel watches and almost any dial.
Taupe - a warmer neutral that softens a watch and works well with cream, silver and brown dials.
Olive green - a relaxed, slightly utilitarian shade that suits field watches and green dials.
Ready to wear
Our Alcantara straps are handmade and ready to wear in popular widths and lengths, so they ship quickly. Browse more of our ready to wear straps, or, for something softer still, take a look at our suede and nubuck straps.
FAQs
Is Alcantara leather?
No. Alcantara is a premium microfibre material made in Italy. It has the look and feel of fine suede but isn't made from animal hide. We do use a full grain leather though for the body of the strap and alcantara for the top surface.
Is Alcantara durable?
Yes. It resists fading and marking better than natural suede, and it keeps its soft texture with regular wear.
Can I get an Alcantara strap wet?
Light splashes are fine, but avoid swimming or soaking it. If it gets damp, blot it and let it dry naturally.
How do I clean an Alcantara watch strap?
Brush it gently with a soft brush to lift the fibres. For marks, dab with a slightly damp cloth, then let it air dry.
