Absolutely superb work!
Absolutely superb work. I replaced the austere black crocodile strap on my A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1 in platinum with a soft grey leather strap, and the transformation is remarkable — the watch now feels warmer, more elegant, and far better balanced on the wrist. The craftsmanship, sensitivity to the watch’s character all expertly guided by David, and quality of finish are outstanding; this is bespoke strap making at its very finest.
Absolutely superb work!
I ordered a bespoke piece from The Strap Tailor because I was increasingly unhappy with the product quality of the beautiful but poorly tailored leather straps supplied by a Milan based company.
The quality of David's work is truly first class, as is the level of communication from him and his front of house team.
From the outset The Strap Tailor's professional integrity shone through as did the company's honesty and transparency on pricing.
My initial hopes have been totally surpassed with this first piece and I can honestly say that I'll never now order through any company other than The Strap Tailor.
Custom strap for my Panerai
David and team did a beautiful job making my sailcloth strap with a deployent buckle. The workmanship on the strap is extremely clean and the quality of the buckle is very good. The strap is well constructed and I'm sure will serve me for a long time. The buckle is sturdy, opens and closes smoothly and gives a reassuring click when it locks. And David's prices are always very reasonable, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend him.
I ordered the Badalassi Bund Watch...
I ordered the Badalassi Bund Watch Strap for my 1940s Rolex Bubbleback and it made the watch even more spectacular. David answered all my questions during the ordering process to make sure I had the correct dimensions and everything went perfectly. Well worth the wait.
While the custom strap (calfskin pilot) took some time to create, it was worth the wait. The workmanship is flawless. The strap is a thing of beauty. It unquestionably elevates my watch (IWC Mark XVI) and fits my small wrist perfectly. When finances permit, I’m going to buy a second one for the eventual future replacement.

I have just received my new watch strap. I am so pleased with it: it is absolutely beautiful, and well worth the wait for this bespoke piece. It is an exact copy of the old, worn strap. The watch was in a drawer for years because no over the counter strap would fit. I am now delighted to be wearing one of my favourite watches again. Altogether wonderful. Craftsmanship well worth the wait, and well worth the price. Thank you!
