A crocodile strap is one of the most elegant things you can put on a watch, but it’s the first one you take off when the sun comes out. Water, sweat and sun cream are leather’s worst enemies. I wanted a strap that kept that sense of occasion but didn’t need protecting, so we developed this one.

Each strap is made from high-density FKM rubber and moulded with a deep, hand-finished-looking croc grain, with a gently padded centre and a fine stitch-effect border running around the edge. From across a table it reads as a classic dress strap. Up close it’s soft, supple and completely waterproof.

Wear it in the pool, on the beach, or straight from the gym to dinner. Rinse it under the tap and it’s ready to go again. It won’t crack, stain or hold on to odours the way leather can after a summer of wear.

It works especially well on vintage and modern divers, where it softens a tool watch into something you’d happily wear with a linen shirt. It’s equally at home on a dress watch for anyone who loves the look of croc but wants something more forgiving day to day.
